I hongi ngā manuhiri me ngā tāngata whenua.
The manuhiri pressed noses with the people of the marae.

Kei te kai heihei tātou?
Are we having chicken?

Kupu o te Rā: waiata(tia)

waiata(tia): to sing, song

Māku te waiata e waiata hei tautoko.
I will sing the song as support.
Ā muri i ngā whaikōrero ka tū ngā tāngata ki te tautoko i te waiata a te kaikōrero.
After the main speeches the people will stand to support the speaker's song.
